DAMAC Owner Hussain Sajwani Shares Info On The Smart City His Company DAMAC Properties Is Co-Developing

Hussain Sajwani is a highly successful United Arab Emirates businessman. One of his companies, DAMAC Properties, was the first real estate development firm to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. He has high-end properties located throughout the Middle East, especially in and around Dubai, and a luxury residential tower in London. He is presently exploring his company’s expansion into Asia and North America.

He says that people around the world continue to be interested in buying luxury properties in the UAE. DAMAC Properties has customers buying their villas and apartments from Europe, the Middle East, Syria, India, China, and Africa. It is people who live in volatile parts of the world, in particular, who want to buy his properties and escape from unrest. He sees a bright future for his country since it is so safe, stable, and features free trade.

One of Hussain’s latest projects is in Oman. DAMAC Properties is building Mina Al Sultan Qaboos which is located along the waterfront in Muttrah. This project will eventually cost USD $2 billion with USD $390 million of that being spent on Phase 1. Once completed, this development will feature residential and commercial buildings that will transform the city. DAMAC Properties is partnering with Oman’s Omran to complete this project.

DAMAC Owner Hussain Sajwani says that Mina Al Sultan Qaboos is being designed as a cutting-edge smart city. Information and communication will greatly increase how efficiently this development operates. As a smart city, it will also improve the lives of the people living in it and provide a higher level of government services.

DAMAC Properties wasn’t Hussain Sajwani’s first company. That honor belongs to Global Logistics Services which he started in 1982. This company is a multinational catering firm that operates on the scale of supplying cooked food at American military bases and huge construction projects managed by Bechtel.

Hussain Sajwani and his DAMAC Foundation are also supporting an initiative to increase the number of Arab coders. This is the One Million Arab Coders Initiative which was launched by Dubai Future Foundation. They are providing free app development training to people throughout the UAE.
